This is a picture of my first successful batch of macarons! Thanks to Richard of Baking Arts I made my first batch of pink vanilla flavored, salted caramel and ganache filled macarons! I have to admit i was nervous during the whole class thinking ”don’t mess up! don’t mess up!” Luckily, Richard’s hands on approach was definitely appreciated and the small class size meant we were able to closely follow his instructions.
And after 12 looong minutes passed, my little pink macarons were born and like a proud albeit obsessive mother, I gleefully filled them with ganache and salted caramel. It felt a bit like redemption knowing that I could actually make them successfully. As I have yet to replicate them on my own, I will wait for the real congratulations..
In the meantime I think I’ll bask in the glow of my first batch. 🙂
