This is a site dedicated to my love and I’m sure many others’ LOVE of the french macaroon or ‘macaron’ as I will now refer to it. Not to be confused with its American cousin of the same name, french macarons are delectable cream-filled nuggets of cookieness that come in a myriad of flavors.
Ladurèe of Paris is the mecca of macarons. Founded in 1862, the store features flavors such as Blackberrry Currant Violet, Caramel with Salted Butter as well as the traditional chocolate, vanilla and strawberry flavors. For any macaron lover, it is not to be missed when visiting Paris.
You can expect to find information such as this as well as documentations of my own experiments in attempting to create this delicate cookie.
